Home a day or two, tired, in pyjamas. I told her s Home a day or two, tired, in pyjamas. I told her she didn't need to get ready.
I wrote down a bunch of advice I tell new parents I wrote down a bunch of advice I tell new parents about photographing their newborn at home in the first few weeks.

It's all phone stuff. The light, the timing, the details you'll forget, and the one colour trick that rescues most newborn photos. The window where they curl up tiny closes faster than anyone tells you, so it's worth knowing a few things before it goes.

If you know someone with a brand new baby, send it their way. It might be exactly what they need right now.

Hey, I'm testing a new way of shooting families in Hey, I'm testing a new way of shooting families in July... natural, playful, and mucking about, no posing. I'd love to do it with 1-2 families that follow me.

An hour with some directed setups/games, good but comfortable wardrobe, natural and relaxed. No cost, its on me. The one thing I'd ask in return is to use the strongest images on my website and in some materials I'm putting together for the business. I'll always show you what I've picked first and won't use anything you're not happy with.

Keen? Message me.

What's a good family photo? For me, it's super sim What's a good family photo? For me, it's super simple...

- Does it look like a shot I would take of my own kids?

- Are the people in the shot connecting to each other (rather than to the camera)?

- As the viewer, does my heart go to the human connection first, or the lighting/styling?

Easy. This shot of Will and Helen is, to me, a beautiful family shot.
I needed some natural smiles so you know... race t I needed some natural smiles so you know... race time. Everyone is always laughing when they come back 😂
