If you're the one who hates being in photos, or you're dragging someone who does, you're exactly who I'm best with.


I've been a photographer for 15 years, starting in weddings, then ten years of commercial work. My heart wasn't in it. Family photography is the part I actually care about, making an album you will look at again and again as the years go by.

WHAT THE SESSION FEELS LIKE

No awkward posing. Just simple direction that works.


You don’t need to “perform”. You just need a little guidance.

I’ll prompt you into natural movement so the photos feel real:


  • walking, playing, cuddling, chatting
  • small groupings (whole family, parents, kids together, individual moments)
  • the in-between moments that always end up being favourites


Outdoor sessions are best for this: space to move, great light, and kids can be kids.

That’s why my collections are built around a printed album, with digitals as an add-on (not the main event).



The real value is owning something physical, but digital files are included as well.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Book your session. Pick a date. You’ll get a simple prep guide (clothing, timing, what to expect).
  2. Shoot day (outdoors in Hamilton). We keep it relaxed and moving. You’ll be guided the whole time.
  3. Gallery delivered in 1 week. You’ll receive your images digitally and the album layout to review.
  4. Album ordered after approval.
  5. Artwork ready in 2–3 weeks. Finished pieces arrive ready to hang or gift.

FAQ

What if my kids don’t behave?

Totally normal. The session is designed around movement and prompts, we don’t rely on perfect stillness. Also, I have kids... I get it and am very very patient

Do you shoot in the studio?

I have a small studio, but most family sessions work better outdoors — especially as the number of people increases.

What should we wear?

You’ll get a guide. Short version: coordinated, not matching; avoid big logos; soft neutral tones photograph best.

Where do we shoot?

Outdoors around Hamilton. I’ll recommend spots based on the light, season, and how your kids are likely to move.

When do we get the photos?

Digital gallery in 1 week. Printed artwork in 2–3 weeks after you finalise your album layout choice.
