What the Session Feels Like

You don’t need to do anything impressive. You just need to feed, cuddle, and be with your baby.

I’ll guide you gently the whole way with simple direction that works in real homes:

  • Settling and cuddling on the bed or couch
  • Tiny details (hands, feet, lashes, wrinkly skin)
  • Mum and baby, dad and baby, whole family together
  • Siblings included (with a plan that suits their age)

If baby needs a feed, a change, or a pause, we take it. That’s normal.

Most people mean to print their newborn photos. Then the weeks blur, the gallery gets buried, and nothing gets made.

That’s why my collections are built around printed artwork, with digitals as an add-on (not the main event).

    • You’ll get a simple prep guide (light, warmth, what to tidy, what to wear)
  2. Shoot day (in your home in Hamilton)
    • Calm, guided, and flexible
    • We move slowly and follow baby’s pace
  3. Gallery delivered in 1 week
    • You’ll receive your images digitally
  4. Choose your artwork
    • Frames, albums, matted print sets, whatever fits your home
  5. Artwork ready in 2 to 3 weeks
    • Finished pieces arrive ready to hang or gift

Frequently Asked Questions

Ideal is usually within the first 5 to 21 days, but lifestyle newborn sessions work beautifully later too. If baby is 3 to 8 weeks, we just lean into more awake moments and connection.

It doesn’t need to be perfect. We usually use one or two spots with good window light (often the bedroom and living room). A quick tidy of bedside tables and benches is plenty. I’ll tell you exactly what matters in the prep guide.

I keep it simple and natural. I’ll use what you already have (blankets, wraps, nursery items). If you have something meaningful, we include it. If you want a more styled look, tell me and we’ll plan it.

Totally normal. The session is designed for this. We allow time for feeds, cuddles, changing, and resets. The goal is calm, not “perfect”.

Yes. I’ll guide it so it doesn’t turn into chaos. For toddlers, we do sibling photos early while their patience is highest, then let them go play.

You’ll get a guide. Short version: simple, comfortable, soft tones, no big logos. For newborns: plain onesies, wraps, or a simple nappy cover photograph best.

Usually 1 to 2 hours, sometimes longer if baby needs more breaks. We don’t rush.

Digital gallery in 1 week. Printed artwork in 2 to 3 weeks after you finalise your choices.
