At Brooke’s shoot-along, we photographed Sarah rid At Brooke’s shoot-along, we photographed Sarah riding Delta, and I chose one clear direction that I thought might be unique.

Instead of chasing a bunch of poses, I was hunting one strong story frame: big, cinematic, and environment-heavy.

With horses, posing options are limited, but composition isn’t. If you use the location, you get scale, mood, and a photo that feels like a scene, not a snapshot.

This is the kind of image that belongs on a wall. Big. Matted. Framed. “Hero shot” energy.
Why do you do test shoots? Why do you do test shoots?
For the last 3 months I’ve been quietly testing ev For the last 3 months I’ve been quietly testing everything in my photography process.

Some stuff I copied because I saw others doing it. Turns out it was garbage for me. Other stuff is great, just not my style. And a few things I assumed everyone could do… turns out they’re uniquely my edge.

The result: calmer sessions, better photos, and a more real connection.

If you want photos that feel timeless and beautiful, I’m here for it.

.
At a Miss Brooke Photography's shoot along, we had a short window with Sarah and Jeremy. I had one goal: could I use flow posing and still create enough strong images to build a full 10 spread album?
.
It worked.
.
Most people think an album needs a long session and a huge shot list. But if you guide people well and keep them moving, you can build a complete story fast. Close moments, wide scenes, in between frames, the stuff that actually feels like them.
.
Why this matters: real life is messy. The weather turns. Kids melt down. Some people feel awkward and want it done quickly. This is the skill that keeps the photos looking calm and intentional, even when time is short.
.
These spreads are the proof.
