Creative Portrait Photography

A portrait session for people who want something more than “a nice photo.”
We’ll plan it properly, shoot it calmly, and finish it as a museum-grade print you’ll actually live with.

Who is this for

This is for you if…

  • You’ve changed — new chapter, new confidence, new body, new identity — and you want to mark it.
  • You’re tired of photos that feel like someone else.
  • You want a portrait that makes you stop when you walk past it.
  • You want something physical: framed, printed, tangible. Not another folder you never open.

(Devil’s advocate: if all you want is “a few quick digitals for socials,” this probably isn’t the right fit. My work is built around making one or two pieces you’re proud to print and keep.)

The experience

You don’t need to know how to pose

My job is to guide you. You’ll get simple prompts and direction so it feels natural — not stiff, not awkward, not “model-y” unless you want that.

We can go:

  • Fine art and timeless
  • Bold and cinematic
  • Soft and intimate
  • Vintage / editorial
  • Minimal and graphic

If you don’t know what you want yet, that’s normal. We’ll figure it out together.

Your photos should exist in real life

If you’ve ever paid for photos and then never printed them… you already know how this ends.

That’s why my collections are built around printed artwork, with digitals as an add-on (not the main event).

Typical favourites for clients:

  • A small set of matted prints
  • A framed hero print
  • A fine art album (beautiful, and easy to revisit)

Digital files are included, but the real value is owning something physical.

The process

1) Plan

We do a quick consult: what you want it to say, where it’ll live (wall/album), wardrobe, and the overall mood.

2) Shoot

A relaxed session with direction throughout. Breaks are normal. You don’t need to perform.

3) Choose your favourites

You’ll see the best images and choose what becomes artwork. I’ll help you pick based on impact, not quantity.

4) Finish + print

Retouching is careful and natural (you’ll still look like you). Then we produce your piece as a print and deliver it ready to enjoy.

WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH

The end goal: finished artwork

Most clients choose one of these:

  • Framed fine art print for the wall (the “every day reminder” piece)
  • A small set of matted prints for gifting or keeping
  • A portrait album (if you want a series, not just one hero image)

Digitals can be included, but they’re not the main product. The main product is the print.

Frequently Asked Questions

Studio portraits are ideal for a controlled, fine art look. Outdoor portraits work if you want something more open and natural. We’ll choose what matches the final piece you want.

You’ll get guidance before the shoot. Most of the time: simple, well-fitting, minimal logos, and fabrics that photograph well. If you want something dramatic, we can plan that too.

Totally normal. Confidence is built during the session — it’s not a prerequisite.

You’ll receive digitals. But the reason clients hire me is the finished print, not a big batch of files.

Digital turnaround is about one week. Printed pieces typically take 2–3 weeks.

Yes , but with taste. The goal is “you on your best day,” not plastic skin and a different face.
